PASSED INTO LAW

Republic Act No. 11501: An act increasing the bed capacity of Quirino Memorial Medical Center from five hundred (500) beds to one thousand (1,000) beds and appropriating funds for it and for other purposes

By increasing the bed capacity of QMMC or more commonly known as “Labor Hospital”, we thereby increase the budget of this essential hospital in order to cater to more of our less fortunate countrymen.

Republic Act No. 11462: An act postponing the may 2020 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections

By postponing the Barangay and SK elections, we alleviate the risk of our constituents being part of a super spreader (COVID-19) event. This act thereby gives time to COMELEC to adapt to an election that takes the pandemic into consideration.

Republic Act No. 11464: An act extending the availability of the 2019 appropriations for maintenance and other operating expenses and capital outlays to December 31, 2020

This is to make use of the remaining funds of 2019 General Appropriations Act in the fiscal year 2020.

Republic Act No. 11524: Coconut Farmers Industry Trust Fund Act

An act declaring the coconut levy assets as a trust fund, providing for its management and utilization, authorizing the privatization and management office to dispose the coconut levy assets for the benefit of the coconut farmers and the development of the coconut industry
